Semen Analysis
Please note: we are only offering semen analyses for partners of our current patients as part of their fertility workup, or for monitoring patients working with outside fertility clinics.
A semen analysis is an important part of the fertility workup because male factors can, and often do, contribute to difficulty conceiving. The semen analysis evaluates important characteristics of the semen and sperm, including sperm count, motility (movement), and morphology (shape and structure).
Before your appointment:
To ensure the most accurate results, please abstain from ejaculation for 2–7 days before providing your sample in our office.
Results:
Your semen analysis results are typically available within 24 hours. Please note that if the semen analysis results are abnormal, you will be referred to a urologist for next steps and treatment.
