Ovarian PRP
Michigan Institute of OB/GYN is proud to be the first location in Michigan to offer Ovarian PRP. Coming in February 2025.
Ovarian PRP is a fertility treatment option for patients with diminished ovarian reserve or premature ovarian insufficiency (low AMH, high FSH).
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) has been studied for its regenerative and healing functions. PRP comes from your blood, which is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood components.
When PRP is injected into the ovaries, the natural growth factors and cytokines promote tissue regeneration and healing to restore ovarian function, enhance ovarian reserve, and improve egg quality, therefore increasing the chance of pregnancy.
Ovarian PRP is done in an outpatient setting with the assistance of ultrasound to ensure the injection is properly delivered to the ovaries.
